There are few things I love more than a dress, particularly one as comfortable as this one. The stretchy knit fabric makes it just perfect to curl up in a comfy chair with a book or sit through a full day of meetings. The length is very demure, so I like to sass it up a bit with a heeled bootie. I'm definitely on the look out for more colour blocked items, as it really does wonders by adding structure and shape (and of course great pops of colour!).The look has a bit of a librarian feel to it, particularly with the glasses, so we originally planned to shoot this outfit in the upper floors of Deering Library at Northwestern. It's an absolutely beautiful space (very Hogwarts-esque), but was unfortunately somewhat overrun by architecture students sketching things. Down in the bowels of the library, however, we discovered many a fun hallway with an almost '1960s vibe.
